AIM AND ACTIVITY OF METE The
Hungarian Scientific Society for Food Industry was founded in 1949 with
the aim to facilitate the application of the results of scientific
research and technical development in food processing as well as in the
associated fields of economy and training. By that way the Society
contributes to the increase of the professional level of his members and
that of the food production; protect the professional, scientific and
economic interests of its members and provides a forum at national and
international levels. To achieve
these aims the Society exerts the following activities: -
Give proposals regarding food legislation. -
Takes up a position on the field of scientific, technical and economic
concepts and projects. The Society represents his
position towards the public opinion, the government, the
trade unions and other organisations. -
Organisation of scientific, technical and economic seminars,
conferences, presentations of technical films, programme for
broadcasting corporations in the field of food science and the
food industry. -
Organisation of professional consultations as well as that of
study-tours within and outside the country together with the
exchange of experiences and experts. -
Active contribution regarding the dissemination of technical
economical knowledge in connection with the food industry and
food-processing. -
Expression of views taking proposals, panel-activity in relation
to trade fairs, food exhibitions. -
Edition and publication of journals and proceedings in order to improve
professional level. - The
Society regularly deals with the tasks of research, development and
training in the fields of his specific activity and helps to solve the
arising problems. -
Organisation of joint professional meetings together with
national and international organisations being in co-operation
with the Society and publication of joint proceedings. Our Society
is member of a number of international scientific organisations
representing Hungary. |
